Freya Overdrive/Booster

200.00

Freya is a versatile dual pedal that can become a new pedalboard staple to all guitarists from Blues to Heavy Metal players. It is a combo of a low to mid-gain overdrive and a transparent high headroom booster.

Freya’s overdrive section was designed to provide a focused mid-push with three distinctive clipping voices, a vast amount of headroom with great clarity of bottom and top-end of the signal. It’s smooth on the clean channel and tightening things up on the dirty channel. The clipping switch allows  you to choose from smooth, bluesy breakup, open and focused boost to push the front-end of your dirty channel and mid-rich lead tone. The pedal also includes a full range, transparent booster section providing up to 12dB of clean boost.

Description

Meet Freya, a goddess of beauty and war – both captivating and powerful.

Freya is a combo of a low to mid-gain overdrive and a transparent high headroom booster. Both sections can operate independently and their order is easily switchable for even more tonal options.

Freya internally converts the standard 9V DC power to +/-9V DC to gain more headroom to operate. The pedal uses high quality JFET operational amplifiers for higher input impedance, lower noise, great signal integrity and clarity.  Top-mounted jacks and compact footprint make it suitable for any pedalboard.

You can use the boost alone, boost the volume of already overdriven signal to push the tube amp even harder or provide an additional source of gain to the overdrive part of Freya for that fuzzy bottom end by switching the order of the sections.

Freya is an all-analog circuit, designed on carefully selected gain and clipping stages. It is built with high grade components for best signal quality.
